CloudStorm Amsterdam format change ups the tempo for showcasing "real" Cloud Computing Solutions
5 minute rapid fire presentations and panel debate aims to give end users and channel partners an insight into the growing range of cloud products, services and initiatives
May 20, 2010 - CloudStorm, a European focused cloud computing event has announced that its next Amsterdam event will change to a faster format with participants from A-Server, Arago, Amplidata, ContactOffice, Racktivity, Beemaster, and Zenith Infotech Europe already confirmed as presenters.
The not-for-profit event, funded equally by its participants, provides a showcase of cloud computing solutions covering a wide range of areas including application development and deployment, infrastructure, storage, BPM and SAAS from leading European technology vendors.
Participants, who have just 5 minutes each to present their cloud based offering to the audience, offer a mix of vision, technology and snapshots of actual Cloud Computing solutions. The presentations are followed by a panel debate with a question and answer session ahead of a mini expo and networking party allowing all participants to interact on a one-to-one basis over light drinks and refreshments. The sponsors, in alphabetical order, include:
- A-Server, a specialist in cloud computing for ISV's and SAAS providers.
- Amplidata, an emerging leader in cloud storage solutions.
- Arago, a specialist in the management of complex web applications.
- ContactOffice, one of the first cloud-based collaboration providers.
- Racktivity, saving power and improving uptime in datacenters.
- Zenith Infotech Europe, a specialist in high tech monitoring, backup and cloud products for channel partners
- Beemaster ICT, delivering solutions for the Application Integration and Delivery market.
The Amsterdam event will take place at on the evening of June 3rd at the Arena and will host a total of 10 presenting companies with more details to follow via the www.cloudstorm.org website.
Event organiser, Arvid Fossen from A-server explains the new format, "We took a lot of feedback from both presenters and guests from previous CloudStorm's in London, Paris, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Köln, New York and the consensus was that we needed to stick to high level messages and avoid going into too much technical detail on stage and leave these types of discussions for the expo."
"Over the last few events, we have had over a thousand attendees in total and it's a great way to help build a real community of people interested in both delivering and using cloud services in a environment where both individuals can share and exchange ideas." Fossen adds.
Attendance to CloudStorm is entirely free but the small venue means that places are limited with complimentary tickets available from the www.CloudStorm.org website on a first come, first served basis.
